Visvesvaraya Award

The Madurai District Tiny And Small Scale Industries Association (Maditssia) and the All India Manufactures' Organisation (AIMO) have invited applications from the small/tiny industries for "Visvesvaraya Award" for the Best Small Industry for the year 2005, especially in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu. Any small-scale/tiny industry functioning in Madurai, Dindigul, Virudhunagar, Sivaganga, Ramnad, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and Theni will be eligible for the award. The industry should have commenced production before April 2002. One industry selected for the first prize will receive an award worth Rs 10,000 and the second and third prizes, given by Canara Bank, will be worth of Rs 5,000 each.
