WAITING FOR BLOOM TIME: A trader at the Kolkata wholesale flower market. A bunch of roses at the market costs between Rs 6 and Rs 10. The month of Chaitra is off-season for flower traders, as there are no traditional festivals or celebrations. The business will flower again in Baishakh. Roses come mostly from the East Midnapore district.
