Our Bureau

Pune, March 23

Pizza Corner India, part of the Geneva-based Global Franchise Architects (GFA) group that specialises in building, operating, and franchising speciality retail brands, has launched a dine-in outlet, a 76-seater, in Pune's upscale Koregaon Park. The group plans to expand in the country's western regions and increase the number of outlets from the current 44 to 59 by April 2006. "Our strategy is to expand to western regions of India by mid-2006 through the Master Franchise route. B & C class cities hold immense potential... Pizza Corner now enjoys special brand equity in cities like Pondicherry, Mysore, Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram, Hisar and Agra, and Pune being the latest addition to this list," said Mr Anoop Sequeira, CEO, Pizza Corner India (P) Ltd.

It will open four more outlets in Pune, said Mr Anand Jog, Master Franchisee for the western region. These would come up over the next 12-18 months, he added. It also plans dine-in outlets in Mumbai and Goa, he said.
