Record coking coal discharge at Vizag

Visakhapatnam , March 20

A record 29,505 tonnes of coking coal was discharged from the vessel, MV Red Orchid, with the use of two floating cranes at Visakhapatnam port on Saturday.

The previous best was 29,390 tonnes achieved on January 31.

The cargo was imported by SAIL. Vizag Port Logistics were the stevedores and Prathyusha Associates the clearing and forwarding agents, according to a release from the port authorities.
