`Technology is key to stay on top'

Our Bureau

Chennai, March 10

Technology is the key for managers to stay on top, according to Ms Nalina Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, TVLIVE India. Speaking at the MMA Golden Jubilee Women Managers' Convention, she gave the example of the upcoming Internet protocol television (IPTV) as a technology that would turn the industry on its head and put cable operators out of business.

Speaking about the increasing number of women entering the working world, Ms Singh said that women are often faced with difficult decisions, where the chances of success are slim, but to admit defeat would be failure.

The theme of the event was "Women in India: 2020 - There's no Stopping Us!"
