Colgate to pay 17.5 pc third interim

Mumbai, March 8

The board of Colgate-Palmolive on Tuesday announced a third interim dividend of 17.5 per cent, that is, Rs 1.75 per share for the financial year 2005-06.

The dividend payout to shareholders will be Rs 24 crore (Rs 27 crore inclusive of dividend distribution tax) and will be paid in the first week of April, an official statement said.

With this dividend declaration, the company has made an aggregate interim payout of 75 per cent or Rs 7.50 per share during financial year 2005-06 compared with Rs 7 per share in the financial year 2004-05.
