Kottayam, March 8

World Kidney Day will be observed in Kottayam on Thursday with a public awareness programme, interaction with patients and discussions under the auspices of the Nephrology Department of the Kottayam Medical College. For the first time, such an awareness programme is organised as part of the World Kidney Day in the city, said Dr K.P. Jayakumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Nephrology. Dr N. Sudyakumar, Principal, Kottayam Medical College, will preside over the inaugural function of the awareness programme. The motto of the world kidney day is `early detection and prevention of the disease'.
