Bangalore, March 7

The Bangalore-based Telelogic has acquired US-based I-Logix, provider of modelling tools for the embedded market, in an all-cash deal worth $80 million.

I-Logix's product ideally complements Telelogic's offering in the modelling space as well as those that focus on embedded applications, said Mr Sidharth Malik, Managing Director, Telelogic India. The company hopes the combination would help address customers' needs in developing advanced systems and software for both enterprise and projects.

"Together our combined solutions and resources will benefit all our customers. We chose to become a part of the Telelogic family because we believe in their vision to assemble the broadest array of `dream-team' products and solutions for our combined market," said Mr Gene Robinson, Chief Executive Officer, I-Logix.
