Outlook bullish

RISING DEMAND: Pepper harvesting in final stages at a farm in Kerala's Idukki district. Prospects remain bullish with the increased demand and short supply for the commodity in the domestic market. Good demand in the domestic and international markets has kept the pepper prices slightly high. The reported sharp fall in the country's output, which is less than 50,000 tonnes and the delay in the Vietnam crop has contributed to the short supply.
