Cuddalore , March 7

The Vice-Chancellor of Annamalai University, Mr L.B. Venkatrangan, inaugurated the `Business Line Club' sponsored by The Hindu Business Line at the varsity campus in Chidambaram on Tuesday.

Mr Venkatrangan said he was pleased to inaugurate the club, as it would enable students to interact closely with industry and business to hone their skills and personality.

The club would periodically organise seminars and workshops with participation from captains of industry and successful businessmen.

The Vice-Chancellor said that The Hindu Business Line covered all areas such as information technology, economy, market trend, commodity, business, banking and world events.

Micro-level players

Mr A. Sambandam, former Senate member and leading advocate, said that contrary to earlier times where the industry and businesses were family-run affairs, today nearly everyone was into business, at least at the micro level.
