Tata hikes prices of hot rolled coils

Our Bureau

Mumbai, March 1

Tata Steel has raised prices of hot rolled coils by Rs 1,500-2,000 per tonne in its non-contract sales, the company's spokesperson said.

The steel major also raised prices of galvanised steel by Rs 750-1,000 per tonne. However, non-contract sales account for a small portion of Tata Steel's total sales. Some of the steel companies had raised prices of galvanised steel on account of rising zinc prices.
