Udaipur airport to be upgraded

Udaipur airport would be upgraded to international standards, said the Rajasthan Tourism Minister, Ms Usha Punia.

Speaking at Tourism and Travel Fair 2006 in the Capital, Ms Punia said that the Jaipur airport has already been declared as an international airport and a proposal has been made to set up an international convention centre and golf course in the State Capital (Jaipur).

The Rajasthan Government plans to start one more "Palace on Wheels" train by the end of this year, an official release said.
