Goldman Sachs ups stake in Strides

Bangalore , Feb. 22

GOLDMAN Sachs Investments (Mauritius) I Ltd has raised its stake in Strides Arcolab Ltd by acquiring 85,200 shares or 0.24 per cent of the share capital of the Bangalore-based pharma company.

The shares were bought from the market on February 14. (The scrip closed at Rs 391.3 on Nifty on that day.)

Post-purchase, the FII holds 24,86,047 shares aggregating to 7.11 per cent of the company's share capital, according to the company's intimation to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The generic drugs and nutraceuticals exporter closed the fiscal year ended December 31, 2005 with a revenue of Rs 333.8 crore and net profit of Rs 46.1 crore for its Indian operations.
