HMT to help set up cashew processing unit in Mozambique

HMT (International) Ltd, a subsidiary of HMT Ltd, will help Mozambique set up a cashew nut processing centre in that country. It will be set up under a Central Government grant, said a company release.

Under an agreement signed recently, HMT (International) will supply the machinery and equipment required for processing cashew nuts and services for commissioning of the unit. The project to be completed in 6-7 months was the second unit being set up by HMT (International), in the region.

HMT (I) has set up a similar unit in Tanzania in 2002. With skills in the field of food processing Machinery, HMT (I) has set up many projects including milk-processing projects in Sri Lanka and recently a fruit processing unit in Tajikistan.
