THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The newly constituted Lightning Awareness Cell of the Regional Energy Centre, Kerala, will conduct a workshop on `Lightning Protection' on March 14-15 at "Productivity House", HMT Road, Kalamassery, Ernakulam.

The South Asian Lightning Information and Resource Centre, Sri Lanka, will co-host the workshop. Cape Electric Corporation, the Indian business partner of OBO Bettermann, Germany, is sponsoring the event. Details are available on e-mail: rectvm@sancharnet.in.

The event is expected to attract professionals from the industrial and construction sectors, as also aviation, military, insurance, power and communication, hydrology and meteorology sectors.
