Bennett to pick up 6% stake in Sahara India

Mumbai , Feb. 13

SAHARA India Mass Communication Ltd has informed the BSE that its board has approved the plan to issue 11 lakh shares to Bennett Coleman & Company Ltd at Rs 344 per share. It amounts to six per cent, a company official said.

The shares would be issued to Bennett Coleman on a preferential basis. The company would get Rs 37.84 crore in lieu of the preferential share allotment.

The company has scheduled an extraordinary general meeting on March 8 to accord the consent of shareholders to issue the equity shares to Bennett Coleman.
