Softbank Asia to invest $22.5 m in CSS

SOFTBANK Asia Infrastructure Fund (SAIF) Partners, a private equity fund, has invested $22.5 million (about Rs 100 crore) in the US-based CSS Group.

With offshore facilities in Chennai, the group provides information technology services to technology providers and enterprises that include product or application design, development, independent testing, managed technical support and remote IT infrastructure management solutions, says a company press release.

The group has SlashSupport (technology support), ReadyTestGo (software testing), CSS Inc (software services) and Synaptris (software products) under its fold.

It has over 3,000 professionals with a presence in nine countries across seven development centres and has over 125 global customers.

SAIF Partners has $1 billion under its management, of which it has invested approximately $600 million.

In India, its investment includes Sify.com, Intelligroup, IL&FS Investmart, Makemytrip.com and VisualSoft Technologies, the release said.
