ANZ to manage staff travel schedule with IBS software

AIR New Zealand (ANZ) has successfully implemented iFly, the new generation, Web-based solution from IBS Software for managing the staff travel requirements of airlines.

The launch customer for iFly, ANZ had signed the requisite agreement with IBS last year, a spokesman for the software company said.

IBS is a leading player in the travel, transportation and logistics sector.

Travel concessions are one of the most sought-after benefits for airline staff. iFly handles both leisure travel and duty travel requirements of airline staff and supports generic interfaces to airline reservation systems as well as human resources and payroll systems.

It also helps in centralising staff travel administration. The Rules Manager, which forms the heart of the system, will come in handy while laying down staff travel rules.

Developed as a generic solution, iFly is designed to accommodate any future changes to staff travel policies.

The airline staff can create/change the bookings for their travel directly using Web-based interfaces at their convenience.

iFly also facilitates a self-serviced environment for staff to use concessions and make booking directly, conforming to all the travel regulations and entitlements.

According to Mr Rob Fyfe, Chief Executive Officer, ANZ, selecting the staff travel system is a challenge because it would be one of the few applications to be used by every single employee of the airline around the glob. "We are impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and adaptability of IBS consultants."

ANZ is a strategic account in the Asia Pacific region, said Mr V. K. Mathews, Chairman and Managing Director, IBS Group. Staff travel automation is a niche area with potential for savings for the airline and IBS would like to be market leaders in this segment.

iFly will reduce costs of staff travel management, while at the same time improve employee productivity and internal service levels. "If the response from the airlines is any indication, we will hear many more success stories featuring iFly in the coming months. The product guarantees superior return on investment and a payback period of less than 12 months," Mr Mathews said.
