GAIL wins e-governance award

KOCHI: GAIL (India) Ltd has won the Golden Icon Award for exemplary initiatives in e-governance.

The award was presented by the State PWD Minister, Dr M.K. Muneer, to Mr R.K. Goel, Director (Finance), GAIL at a function here during the 9th National e-governance Conference held under the joint auspices of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievance, Department of Information Technology, Government of India and the Department of Information Technology of the Kerala Government.

The three-day conference, which began on Feb 2, provides a forum for discussion of various e-Governance related issues by experts from administration, industry and academic, leading to the formulation of regional and national e-Governance strategies, an official release said.
