Indoco unit gets USFDA nod

MUMBAI: Indoco Remedies Ltd has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration for its sterile ophthalmic preparations facility at the Goa plant. This will facilitate the production and export of Indoco's ophthalmic preparations to the US, the company said.

Indoco has signed agreements with two generic companies in the US and will supply products from the Goa facility, the statement added.

The company is looking to file seven abbreviated new drug applications by December 2006. The market size of the products aggregates at $1.1 billion.
