LG Electronics merges room, commercial AC divisions

New Delhi , Feb. 3

LG Electronics today announced the merger of its room and commercial air-conditioner divisions.

Post this merger, Mr Ajay Bajaj has been designated as the Business Group Head of the AC division, heading both room and commercial AC categories.

The company also organised The Star Achievers Meet today to felicitate the top 200 SSD's (Sales and Service Dealers) associated with the company.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr K.R. Kim, President - South West Asia and Managing Director LGEIL commented, "This meet is an extremely strategic step for LG towards strengthening both our global leadership position and our AC division in India by streamlining our operations to boost production and equipping our AC solution experts with cutting edge products to boost sales."

According to Mr Bajaj, "The year 2005 saw LG's AC division exceeding a combined turnover of Rs 1,200 crore, and this year we plan to achieve Rs 1,600 crore worth of sales."
