HYDERABAD: Leading industry representatives from Hyderabad will take part in a two-day national symposium on the role of chemical engineers in the pharmaceutical industry, beginning here at the Dr B.V. Raju Institute of Technology on Wednesday. The Chief Executive of Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Mr G.V. Prasad will be the Chief Guest, while Dr J.S. Yadav, Director, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, will deliver the Dr B.V. Memorial Lecture.

While Dr A.V. Rama Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of AVRA Labs, would preside over the valedictory, a panel discussion would see the participation of Dr Shivakumaran and Mr Anil Jain of Aurobindo Pharma, Mr M. Narayana Reddy, MD of Virchow Labs, Mr G.V. Sethuraman of Enfab Ltd, according to a press release from the institute.

NIFT annual show

HYDERABAD: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) here will showcase its talents at the annual show titled `Spectrum'. The three-day event beginning on Wednesday will have competitions and fun events in 17 disciplines that include fashion, dance, singing and painting, a NIFT press release said.
