Nalco net up 28 pc, declares 20 pc interim

THE National Aluminium Company Ltd (Nalco) has posted a net profit of Rs 393.03 crore for the third quarter, marking an increase of 28.41 per cent over Rs 306.07 crore achieved during the corresponding period of the last financial year, according to a release issued by the company.

According to the unaudited financial results taken on record at the board meeting in New Delhi on Friday, the sales turnover during the quarter recorded an increase of 23.09 per cent to Rs 1,442.59 crore over the corresponding period figure of Rs 1,171.95 crore. The cumulative net profit during the nine months was Rs 956.63 crore compared to Rs 880.60 crore in the previous year.

Total sales in the current year has increased to Rs 3,664.27 crore against Rs 3,125.56 crore last year.

The company has declared interim dividend of 20 per cent, amounting to Rs 128.86 crore.
