Chemicals Colour-Chem posts 11% rise in net profit Our Bureau
Mumbai , Jan. 25 COLOUR-Chem Ltd has reported an 11 per cent increase in its December 2005 quarter net profit at Rs 1.32 crore compared to Rs 1.19 crore in the year-ago period. Net sales grew by 14 per cent to Rs 95.81 crore. Other expenditure for the quarter rose substantially, largely on account of a one-time adjustment of profit on sale of land amounting to Rs 1.18 crore. The company said its shareholders had voted in favour of the proposal to merge the Clariant affiliates namely Clariant (India) Ltd, BTP India Pvt Ltd and Colour-Chem's subsidiaries, Vanavil Dyes and Chemicals Ltd and Kundalika Investments Ltd into Colour-Chem Ltd. Other approvals are awaited to enable the merged company to begin operations under the new name of Clariant Chemicals (India) Ltd.
