Nabard sanctions funds for TN projects

THE National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has sanctioned Tamil Nadu projects with an outlay of Rs 239.34 crore and assistance under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF-XI) of Rs 191.84 crore.

According to a press release from the bank, the projects cover six roads, 265 bridges, five veterinary infrastructure improvement projects in three districts and 582 roads and six bridge projects in 29 districts of the State.

This is the fourth sanction of RIDF assistance in the current year, according to the release. The total sanction is Rs 697.09 crore in project outlay and Rs 592.02 crore in RIDF loan assistance.

The cumulative sanction under RIDF is Rs 4,245.59 crore with the cumulative disbursement at Rs 2,208.04 crore. (EOM)
