Indian Airlines offers special fares on select sectors

INDIAN Airlines is offering competitive fares on some sectors.

The airline, which has a load factor of about 70 per cent on the Chennai-Bangkok sector, is offering a special return fare of Rs 8,950, (excluding tax of Rs 2,021).

On the Chennai-Singapore sector the airline has a fare of Rs 10,475 (plus tax of Rs 3,321). The load factor on this sector is about 80 per cent, sources said. These fares are available only on day flights.

The same fare is applicable on the Chennai-Kuala Lumpur sector too. Sources said that with this fare, travellers could get to see two destinations — fly to Singapore, travel to Kuala Lumpur either by road or train, and board the return flight from Kuala Lumpur. The airline is targeting school groups and has come out with special promotion along with the Singapore Tourism Board. The fare, which includes accommodation, airport transfers and sightseeing, is Rs 17,000 plus tax of Rs 3,321.

On the Chennai-Mumbai sector, Indian has come out with a fare of Rs 2,820.
