Global horticulture fair this month in Hyderabad

THE State Department of Horticulture will organise a five-day International Horticulture Trade Fair, beginning January 25, at the People's Plaza on the Necklace Road here.

The 16th edition of the trade fair, claimed to be the biggest such fair in the country, is expected to attract one lakh visitors. About 150 participants from India and abroad will participate. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr N. Raghuveera Reddy, Minister for Agriculture, Horticulture and Civil Supplies, said the Government has targeted to increase the acreage of horticulture crops from 16 lakh hectares to 25 lakh hectares in the next five years.
