Storage Marketing - Market Shares IBM's external storage market share jumps Our Bureau
Bangalore , Dec. 27 IBM India on Tuesday announced that it recorded the highest revenue growth in external storage market with a 10.6 point market share gain year-on-year. The company experienced a year-on-year growth of 182 per cent in customer revenues. As per the IDC Asia/Pacific Quarterly Storage Tracker, IBM outpaced the overall external storage market growth of 48 per cent in India with a year-on-year growth of 182 per cent in customer revenues. The company said in a release that it is now in the second position in terms of customer revenues The current size of the external storage market in India is $44.98 million. "An enhanced product range complemented with an aggressive channels strategy and focus on the SMB space besides large enterprises has been significant contributors to IBM's success in this market," said Mr Sanjit Sinha, Senior Manager - Hardware Research, IDC (India) Ltd.
