Mumbai , Dec. 23

TATA Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Company Ltd (TDCV), the 100 per cent subsidiary of Tata Motors, today unveiled the Novus range of medium-sized trucks in South Korea.

The company, which is South Korea's second biggest commercial vehicles manufacturer, has a heavy truck model under the Novus range.

Senior Tata officials had been speaking for some time of expanding the product range to include the medium tonnage segment.

The new models fall in the 4.5, 5 and 7-tonne categories.

The range will be sold from January through TDCV's channel partner, Daewoo Motor Sales Corporation.

"The new range demonstrates Tata Motors' and TDCV's commitment to the Korean customer and economy," said Mr Ravi Kant, Managing Director, Tata Motors.

Shares of Tata Motors ended a shade higher at Rs 637.75 on the BSE on Friday from the previous close of Rs 636.70.
