Govt approves modification of NH-67

THE Government has approved the modification of NH-67. The modified route starts from Thanjavur on NH-67 and connects Kumbakonam and Sethiathope - Neyveli Township, Vadalur, Panruti and terminates near Vikravandi on NH-45. Furthermore, the Government has decided to entrust the stretch to the National Highways Authority of India.

Earlier in 2004, a Government notification had declared the highway as starting from its junction with NH-67 near Thanjavur connecting Kumbakonam - Vriddachalam and terminating at its junction NH-45 near Ulundurpettai in Tamil Nadu.
