TVS Motor sales up 5 pc

CHENNAI: TVS Motor Company sold 1,13,261 two-wheelers in November 2005, a 5 per cent increase over the November 2004 sales of 1,07,830 units.

According to a company press release, TVS Motor sold 68,122 motorcycles in November 2005, compared to 65,066 in the same month last year. The growth in motorcycle sales was aided by the good demand for TVS Victor and TVS StaR. The release said that the company sold 21,057 units of the Scooty against 20,646 units in November 2004, while moped sales accounted for 24,082 units against 22,118 units previously. The company exported 6,120 units, a 44 per cent growth over the same month last year.
