2 check posts abolished in Dakshina Kannada

MANGALORE: The Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Karnataka, has ordered the abolition of Commercial Tax check posts at Kannur and Mukka in Dakshina Kannada district .

A press release by the President of the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Mr A. Srinivasa Rao, said here on Tuesday that the chamber had submitted a memorandum to Mr P. Ravi Kumar, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Karnataka, in this regard recently.

Thanking the Commissioner for the immediate follow-up action to deal with the KCCI's demand, the release termed the abolition of Commercial Tax check posts at Kannur and Mukka as a positive action.
