NTPC unit bags global award

HYDERABAD: NTPC Simhadri power project has bagged the prestigious international project management award for 2005 for excellence in management and operation performance, according to an NTPC statement.

The NTPC Director (Projects), Mr T. Shankaralingam, along with the Chief Executive Officer of NTPC Electricity Supply Company Ltd and Mr S.C. Pandey, General Manager, NTPC Simhadri, received the award at the IPMA World Congress held in New Delhi recently.

NTPC Simhadri is the only Indian project to bag this award instituted in 2002, the statement claimed.
