Kochi , Nov. 18

THE Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, is organising its annual consulting seminar, Konsult 2005, at IIMK campus on November 19 and 20.

Konsult 2005 will revolve around the theme `Consulting in the 21st Century: Prospects and challenges.' Management consultants are now taking increasingly important roles in their client organisations, being involved in activities ranging from strategic decision-making to conducting continuous improvement projects.

As organisations strive to adjust to the changing market scenario and grow, consultants and specialists must continuously adapt to meet the clients' needs and efficiently produce positive outcomes for organisations, a press release from the institute said. This rapid pace of change necessitates that students of business learn about the current theories from those who have wide experience in the field and who are the harbingers of the change.

The seminar will feature eminent speakers from respected consulting houses presenting their views on various issues related to the theme.

The speakers who will be interacting with participants during sessions include Mr Sam Balaji, Partner, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and Managing Director, Deloitte India; Mr Mukesh Butani, Partner, BMR and Associates; Mr Rajat Sud, Associate Director, GRID Consulting, PricewaterhouseCoopers; Mr Jim Hogan, Country Head India, PA Consulting Group; Mr Ravind Mithe, Chief Consultant, ECS Ltd; and Ms Sabitha Rao, Head, Chennai Office, Cerebrus Consultants.
