Assam Co completes testing at Amguri 6 well

ASSAM Co has tested oil at its Amguri 6 well where it has been carrying out exploration in association with Canoro Resources.

The company, which dates back to 1839, has completed remedial operations and initial testing on a 19-metre interval of an oil-producing zone in the well. There is no water production evident from the testing, a press release issued here has said.

Canoro is a Canadian outfit with expertise in oil and gas business worldwide. Based on the current estimate, the production per day is 175 bbls, while oil equivalent gas production is 346 bbls/d.

The company had found "commercial proven reserves" at the Amguri development blocks. It had a 40 per cent working interest in the Amguri field, the press release said.
