Financial Performance Corporate Results - Software Scandent Solutions Q2 net up 16.4% Our Bureau
BANGALORE: Scandent Solutions has reported a 16.36-per cent rise in net profit and a 19-per cent growth in revenues for the second quarter ended September 2005, over the corresponding period last year on a consolidated basis. Scandent's net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 8.46 crore on revenues of Rs 79.76 crore compared with a net of Rs 7.27 crore on revenues of Rs 67 crore in the previous year period. Sequentially, net profits and revenues were up by 14 per cent and 2.7 per cent respectively over the June quarter. Shares of Scandent ended higher by 2.48 per cent on the BSE on Monday at Rs 159.30 over the previous close. The company's earnings per share on a fully diluted basis for the September quarter was at Rs 2.89, while on an annualised basis the EPS was Rs 11.56. The operating margins have improved from 13 per cent in Q2 FY05 to 17 per cent in Q2 FY06 while the net profit margins excluding extraordinary items improved from 7 per cent to 11 per cent.
