NTPC net up 6.4 pc

NEW DELHI: National Thermal Power Corporation's second-quarter net profit rose 6.4 per cent at Rs 1,163.5 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, as compared to Rs 1,094 crore for the corresponding quarter in previous fiscal.

Total income increased 13 per cent from Rs 5,777.5 crore during the second quarter of the last fiscal to Rs 6,557.4 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 2005, the company told BSE.
