NTC may appeal to SC, says Textiles Secy

G. Gurumurthy

Coimbatore , Oct.18

NATIONAL Textile Corporation (NTC) will prefer an appeal in the Supreme Court against the Bombay High Court order setting aside the sale of land by the five NTC textile mills in Mumbai, according to Mr R. Poornalingam, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles.

"Since the lands were already sold, we'll have to appeal to the SC and we'll abide by the SC ruling," said Mr Poornalingam, reacting to the Bombay High Court order.

The Union Textile Secretary, who was here in connection with the convocation of the Textile Ministry sponsored Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Textile Management (SVPITM), however, maintained that he was yet to see the judgment and hence could not make any observation on it.
