Growth in South Central Zone LIC policy sales

HYDERABAD: The South Central Zone of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has achieved a growth of 13.66 per cent in number of policies sold (15.17 lakh policies) for the first six months of the current fiscal ended September 30, 2005, according to its Zonal Manager, Mr T. Chattopadhyay.

Addressing newspersons here on Tuesday, he said the zone registered a growth of 51 per cent in first premium at Rs 700 crore during this period. The zone has sold 46,676 Bima Gold policies in the very first month of its launch and occupies second position at all India level.
