Society & Development Variety - Events HSBC - Kochi branch organises `Helping Hands Mela' Our Bureau
The Helping Hands Mela is an annual event that brings together NGOs across the country to HSBC's premises to display their products and arts and craft designs. It gives NGOs and communities an opportunity to sell their products at prime HSBC locations to HSBC customers as well as the public. The proceeds of the sale go towards supporting a charitable cause in communities where the NGO has a presence. Thirty nine HSBC branches across 21 cities including Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi centres will take part in the mela. The mela is also a forum for HSBC employees to interact closely with NGOs and understand the issues facing the communities around them.
