THE Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), a subsidiary of the Information & Broadcasting Ministry, will coordinate the film bazaar that would be set up as part of the 36th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) here next month.
The film bazaar, to be held between November 25 and 29, is aimed at promoting Indian shooting locales, marketing Indian films abroad, promoting India as a post-production hub and to enable networking opportunities.
It would be one of the major commercial attractions of the IFFI to be held between November 24 and December 4.
Mr Sanjit Rodrigues, CEO of Goa Entertainment Society, the State Government-owned body co-ordinating the event on behalf of hosts, stated that the film bazaar would be set up on the premises of the IFFI at Kala Academy complex here.
Last year the film bazaar failed to make any significant impact.
The preliminary budget for organising the IFFI would be Rs 3 crore, said Mr Rodrigues in reply to a question.
