Priyamvada valuables to be shifted to bank lockers

Our Legal Correspondent

Kolkata , Oct. 7

MR Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta of the Calcutta High Court on Wednesday allowed the Joint Special Officers, appointed for inventorising the personal belongings of late Priyamvada Birla, to remove gold coins, valuable ornaments and various precious stones to the nationalised bank lockers.

Upon the prayer of Mr R.S. Lodha, the court passed the order. It was submitted that since the remunerations of the security guards was around Rs 68,000 a month, it would be less expensive if the valuables were shifted to bank lockers. The Birla camp did not object to this request. The case has been adjourned till November 14.
