Policy Industry & Economy - SSI Rebate for khadi items Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Centre has announced both normal as well as special rebates for khadi and khadi-related items effective from October 1 till March 31 next year. Accordingly, cotton khadi, woollen khadi, spun silk, and polyester varieties will be allowed 10 per cent normal rebate throughout the year in addition to a special rebate of 10 per cent for 66 days. The State Officer, Commissioner for Khadi and Village Industries, has decided that the first phase of the special rebate will be from October 3-15. Consumers can avail of this benefit from the certified sales outlets of khadi institutions.
