SriLankan Airlines to do away with ticket reconfirmation

FROM October 1, reconfirmation of tickets will not be required for any flight of SriLankan Airlines, says a company release.

According to the company, passengers, while booking their tickets, will be requested to provide contact details at their destination. This information will be inserted in the passenger name record and will be used to keep them informed of any changes in flight timings.

However, unaccompanied minors will have to get in touch with the local offices of SriLankan Airlines to obtain clearance, the release adds.
