Vinson Kurian

Thiruvananthapuram , Sept 27

SOFTWARE Quality Centre (SQC), a wholly owned subsidiary of a US-based software process improvement consulting and management advisory company, is launching new industry verticals.

Based in Bangalore, SQC is a partner of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University and has pioneered the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model-Integrated) product suite in India. Speaking to Business Line, Mr Krishnan Puthucode, Director and CEO, said that the new industry verticals were being launched as part of restructuring of operations in India.

The company's main areas of competence are process improvement management and IT consulting services for Fortune 100 clients across the world.

Among the new verticals is ProSearch, a non-profit initiative focused on research and development for small and medium IT and ITES companies. This will be launched in Kerala during the first quarter of next year.
