Rukmini Priyadarshini

Bangalore , Sept. 23

IT services vendor Caritor plans to ramp up headcount by 4,000 at its India delivery centres.

The US-based $89-million company has 2,800 people in India and expects to hire another 4,000 in the next couple of years. "We are growing at over 40 per cent year-on-year and our positioning as the preferred offshore partner to large US and European companies will fuel our growth and delivery will be from India,'' said Mr Raja Sekharan, Senior VP.

The company which provides application management, package applications, infrastructure management and testing services is seeing traction from the manufacturing, finance and telecom verticals, Mr Raja Sekharan said.

Caritor is also focussed on providing SAP services in the Indian market and is a SAP partner with customers such as TVS motors, EID Parry, Tatra Trucks, Indian School of Business etc. "We have 25 customers in India and are looking to deepen relationships with our customers,'' he added.

Caritor is also looking to make acquisitions that will let it enter new markets as it did with the acquisition of IDGO in France recently. "We are looking at the UK and EU as strong markets and want to see testing services growing fast while we have also recently started providing infrastructure management services to cater to customer requirements," he said.

Caritor has delivery centres in Bangalore and Chennai.
