The Hindu Business Line : Van Heusen Evolves new workwear range

MADURA Garments' premium corporate wear brand Van Heusen has introduced `Evolve' as its Autumn-Winter 2005 workwear collection of shirts, trousers and suits.

Evolve comes in a variety of colours such as fuchsia, apple green, electric blue, pink, rust and aqua, "some of which have never been seen before in shirts. It is in tune with the corporate fashion trends of New York and Milan," said a company release.

The 100 per cent cotton shirts are priced at Rs 1,199, trousers at Rs 1,499 and suits at Rs 8,995.

"The Evolve collection will set the tone for the new age corporate look," said Mr Hemchandra Javeri, President of Madura Garments.

"We are sure Evolve will be the new fashion statement in today's workwear," said Mr Shital Mehta, Brand Head, Van Heusen.

SF Jeans' Rust & Tweed: SF Jeans, another Madura Garments brand, has made a countrywide launch of the new Rust and Tweed lines of stylised jeans for men and women.

The Tweed line has tweed fabric inserted under frayed areas of the jeans and then stitched to give it a patched look.

The Rust range, with rust and heavy decay marks all over, has the look of having been taken out of a rusted metal box after years. It is available in deep blue, grey and fresh mild blue.

The two new jeans are available at standard as well as premium price ranges at SF Jeans showrooms, Planet Fashion, Trouser Town and other shop-in shops.
