Software Logistics - Software Infotech signs deal with Alstom Transport Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Sept. 21 INFOTECH Enterprises Ltd has signed a 5-year agreement with Alstom Transport to provide engineering and related services. This deal, expected to fetch about $50-55 million over the period, would pave the way for setting up a dedicated centre at Bangalore. The agreement was signed between Mr Gerard Blanc, Chief Operating Officer of Alstom Transport, and Mr Sudhir Sethi, President and Executive Director, Infotech Enterprises, in Paris. Following this deal, Infotech will provide engineering design and analysis, technical publication, embedded and engineering software development services to Alstom Transport. The Alstom Transport Senior Vice-President, Mr Marc van Damme, said, "Our partnership represents a strategic shift in the manner in which we become more competitive worldwide." Mr Sethi said, "The Alstom Transport engagement leads our entry into the French market space for Engineering Design Services. We will shortly open an office in Paris, France, to support our French customers. This long-term engagement is expected to generate revenues of around $50-55 million over five years for Infotech. Alstom Transport, part of the diversified Alstom group, employs over 28,000 employees with sales of 5.2 billion Euros. Infotech Enterprises shares ended the day at Rs 345.80 on National Stock Exchange
