Events Globoil to discuss issues dodging vegoil sector Our Bureau
Mumbai , Sept. 9 GLOBOIL India - a neutral platform for players in the vegetable oil industry and trade - will be held this year in Mumbai during September 24-25. It will feature a two-day seminar on the problems and prospects for the industry as also an exhibition of precuts and services related to the industry. Speakers from India and abroad are scheduled to discuss global and Indian market conditions, crop prospects, imports and exports of vegoils and meals, and price outlook. A special session on price risk management will discuss the role of futures trading and commodity exchanges. An international session featuring high-level interactive discussion among Government officials and industry captains from Malaysia, Indonesia, the UK, Pakistan and India would be the special feature of Globoil 2005, according to Mr Kailash Singh, Managing Director of Teflas Conferences and Events, the event organisers. Key speakers include Mr Thomas Mielke, Editor-in Chief of the Hamburg-based magazine Oil World; Dr James Fry, Managing Director of London-based LMC International, a well known consultancy; and Mr Dorab Mistry, Director of Godrej International Ltd, London. The event is supported by 30 national and international organisations and more than 600 delegates, including over 150 from outside the country, are likely to participate. Globoil India awards for best performance in business will also be given away during the event. This is the 9th edition of the event.
