Ahmedabad , Sept. 5

CHENNAI-based GV Films Ltd is planning to launch a Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) outfit to offer film-making expertise to global producers.

"As of now, several Indian film producers travel abroad, not only for shooting, but also for special effects. We already have a lot of facilities and are investing in the latest technology. We feel we can offer a wide variety of services to international customers," says GV Films Chairman, Mr Mahadevan Ganesh. The facilities GV Films is offering includes editing, post production and creating special effects. The company has acquired 3D filming technology from Dimension 3, an international leader in the field and is set to start filming its first television serial Paramapadam soon.

GV Films is also ready to start shooting its first 3D feature film, Arabian Nights soon and the Rudyard Kipling classic The Jungle Book will follow next year, Mr Ganesh said here on Saturday.

The company hopes to cater to the growing demand for content from IMAX theatres coming up at different parts of the country with its 3D foray, he added.
